The real country house of the Salento hotel, is situated in one of the most prosperous farming territories of Brindisi ‘filia Solis’. It gives onto the main road 44 of the Acquaro, that from Mesagne, leads to the San Vito Scalo railway station, approximately 3.5 miles (6 km) from the town.

masseria Baroni~Nuovi was constructed in the early 1900’s; it was already used as a summer residence by landowners of the thriving farm. Set in the midst of plantation of olive trees, pink pepper, carobs, lychees, almond, vineyards, peaches, the farm has recently been brought back to its original splendor, respecting the atmosphere and typical architecture, without any change in its original characteristics. Just like in an opera of art, great care has been dedicated to the Masseria in such a way that it fully embraces the real Italian style. Fine and natural materials have been used, therefore transforming it into a real country house.

The courtyard and the distinguishing destination of the Masseria , dating back to the 1900's, are different from the stereotypical Masseria of Puglia. It's characterised by deeply-rooted ivies, bougainvillaeas, jasmine, flower beds, dry stone walls and riddles in stones, very typical of the classical Italian garden. Attached to the farm, you can find a park with a swimming pool, and in the vicinity, a grove of lychees and a century-old carob. They are delightful for healthy and pleasant walks.

Thirteen unique rooms are reserved for the guests, among which, 3 rooms, suites, junior suites and a country house, all very elegantly furnished, offering you a maximum of comfort.

At the masseria Baroni~Nuovi besides having a relaxing stay in full tranquility, you’ll also be pampered by the warm welcome of the Campana family and of their collaborators.

The atmosphere is refined, with a sober and elegant style; an ideal spot for your holidays, a romantic weekend, a relaxing stay or a business trip. It can also simply be the ideal place you would choose for the weekend or for a brief holiday at any period of the year. To brighten the summer days, you can have themed evenings, shows of local folkloric groups of the traditional, 'Pizzica of Salento', tasting of typical dishes. Wines and olive oil are exclusively produced by the Masseria itself, so you’ll spend a whole day immersed in local traditions.

These different sensitivities of the soul and of the palate are awoken once in the courtyard and farmyard, where you can find a swimming pool and the restaurant, 'il Gelsomino', which remains open every day during autumn/summer. External guests are most welcome;
a simple prior booking is required.

The farm is surrounded by an oasis of peace and calmness, among colours, flavours and aromas that characterise the land of the Grande Salento, positioned 7.5 miles (12 km) from the Papola airport of the town of Brindisi, 4.3 miles (7 km) from the Brindisi beach-side villages, Carovigno, the protected marine area and Natural Reserve of Stato di Torre Guaceto. It’s also not far from the research centre of marine tortoises ‘garetta-garetta’, L.I.P.U. Centre and Oasis W.W.F.
The central location within the Salentino context enables you to easily reach the following attractive places: Ostuni, mostly known as 'the white town' and 'Regina degli Ulivi', the panoramic viewpoint of Selva di Fasano, the Castellana caves, the Alberobello 'trulli' (small round houses of stone). You might also visit the district of the Valle d'Itria, Lecce with its fascinating baroque style, Otranto and its splendid Byzantine mosaic work, the surroundings and the breathtaking beaches of the lower Salento, until you reach Santa Maria di Leuca, 'the finibus terrae' and the numerous old town centres that need to be discovered.

You’ll be in the pursuit and discovery of an uncontaminated nature and countryside of the upper Salento, with its treasures and parks, among which you can find: coastal dunes, century-old olive trees, various museums, a few hills of Brindisi, streets bordered by vineyards, flavours of inhabited medieval centres, that represent the cultural heritage of UNESCO.
