Are looking for a wedding venue in Puglia?
Would you like a symbolic or a civil ceremony?
We are in Puglia, in the countryard of Mesagne, in the center of Salento,Puglia, locates along the ancient Roman Via Appia, 10 kilometers away from Brindisi (provincial capital) heading west.
The historic center of Mesagne has a characteristic (unique) heart shape and hosts numerous historical and cultural monuments, as the city is the one that, together with Ostuni, has the buildings (both public, private and religious) that best represents the Apulian Baroque style. the entrance is through via Marconi, which leads to the Villa comunale (located right in front of the Castle), embellished with a monumental fountain.
On the right of the municipal Villa, passing through the seventeenth-century arch of Porta Grande, you enter the old city: immediately to the right is the Castle. Built in Norman times by Roberto il Guiscardo in 1062, it was destroyed, together with the town, by the Saracens in 1254, and then rebuilt two years later. Remanufactured in the 17th century, it still retains the square corner tower dating back to the Norman era and a Renaissance loggia.
The Mesagne Castle, for some years, has become a privileged location to carry out, in its noble rooms, exciting civil weddings. The bride and groom can choose between an auditorium, an outdoor atrium, a fresco room, on the first floor, a tower, including the two small rooms that precede it, and the pergola.
